The Business Systems Analyst for Workday Compensation & Reporting will support the design, optimization, and operational excellence of DoorDash’s Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation modules. This role partners closely with People Operations, Total Rewards, People Tech, Finance, and HR Business Partners to ensure our compensation programs and reporting capabilities are scalable, compliant, and aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate brings strong Workday expertise, analytical skills, and a passion for improving processes through technology.
This role reports to DoorDash’s Sr. Manager of People Technology.
Play a critical role in shaping how DoorDash manages and scales its compensation programs.
Design and implement solutions that directly improve the employee and manager experience across performance, pay, and planning cycles.
Gain deep exposure to the annual cycles to grow, scale and improve overall experience.
Own meaningful system components and have the autonomy to recommend and execute improvements.
Influence key data flows and reporting frameworks that drive business decisions.
Work in a fast-paced, impact-driven culture where experimentation and innovation are encouraged.
Grow your Workday and People Systems expertise through hands-on configuration, release management, and strategic projects.
3–5+ years of experience in Workday with a focus on Compensation and Reporting (Advanced Compensation strongly preferred).
Hands-on experience with Workday configuration, including calculated fields, EIBs, business processes, condition rules, compensation foundational setup and security.
Strong capability in building custom reports, dashboards, matrix reports, trending analysis, and data validations.
Ability to translate technical system requirements into clear, actionable processes for nontechnical partners.
Experience supporting compensation cycles (merit, equity, promotions) in Workday.
Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and comfort working with large data sets.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and proactively solve complex problems.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$83,700—$123,000 USD
