As the Billing & Revenue Operations Specialist, you’ll be the organisation’s go-to expert for billing systems, subscription revenue data, and operational problem-solving.
This role blends hands-on billing operations, SaaS analytics, data integrity, and process optimisation. You’ll work closely with Finance, Product/Consumer teams, Customer Success, IT, and external billing vendors to ensure our revenue engine runs smoothly, accurately, and efficiently.

Perform daily billing checks and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
Investigate anomalies, payment failures, chargebacks, and unusual billing patterns
Conduct customer record audits and lead deep dives into irregularities
Act as the escalation point for complex Level 1/2 billing issues
Resolve external billing issues (e.g., bank rejections, gateway failures)
Manage bulk billing operations for price updates or plan transitions
Manage payment notification schedules and campaign sequencing
Maintain and reconcile revenue data across billing, payment, and accounting systems
Support monthly revenue reporting and revenue recognition processes
Identify configuration issues, data mismatches, and risk indicators
Provide insights and data to support commercial and lifecycle decisions
Support revenue forecasting models and reporting
Analyse key SaaS metrics including MRR, churn, retention, and upgrades/downgrades
Build dashboards and reports using BI tools
Identify trends and recommend insights that improve revenue performance
Become the internal expert for billing systems and payment platforms
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate system improvements
Write operational requirements for reporting, automation, and workflow enhancements
Ensure data flows smoothly between billing and accounting systems
Partner with Consumer, Support, IT, and Finance teams on billing accuracy and renewals
Ensure compliance with billing and revenue standards
Identify recurring issues and drive preventative improvements
Maintain process documentation, workflows, and playbooks
5+ years in Revenue Operations, Billing Operations, or Finance/FP&A
2+ years in a large B2C subscription/SaaS environment
Advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables, advanced formulas)
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Strong experience resolving complex billing issues across multiple systems
Solid understanding of payment platforms and billing best practices
Experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
Strong grasp of SaaS revenue metrics (MRR, ARR, churn, LTV, retention)
Understanding of AASB15 or willingness to learn
Exposure to process automation, workflow tools, or basic SQL
Experience with Xero or similar accounting platforms
Experience in a B2C support or customer operations environment
