From humble beginnings to extraordinary futures, Diageo is centred on crafting incredible stories of ambitious possibilities. From our iconic global brands such as Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Tanqueray and Don Julio, to our local homegrown heroes Bundaberg Rum, Ello and Mr Black, we are a team of pioneers, looking to lead the future of our industry and brands from today. At Diageo, you will be a chosen custodian of our brand portfolio, entrusted with building brands for consumers to celebrate with in the moments that matter. Alongside you will be a group of ambitious, passionate and innovative people, who will help you to achieve extraordinary heights. Together, you will help us create a future worth celebrating.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a hands-on, commercially connected role that sits at the heart of how our field sales organisation operates.
As a Sales Operations Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in enabling our Commercial team to win through execution. You’ll focus on improving the planning, processes and operational rhythms that help our field teams stay focused on what matters most — serving customers and delivering results.
This 6-month fixed term contract is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, simplifying complexity and turning insight into action, while working closely with Commercial, Marketing, Finance and Demand Planning teams.
You’ll combine analytical thinking with strong commercial judgement to support both business-as-usual operations and continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
Own and manage critical day-to-day commercial operations that underpin field effectiveness, ensuring consistency, clarity and reliability across core sales support processes
Proactively identify and resolve operational issues before they impact field execution, prioritising work based on field impact
Own and coordinate Friday Field Communications and FSM rhythms, ensuring messaging is clear, timely, relevant and focused on execution rather than head-office noise
Support and facilitate key commercial routines, including FSM calls, FLT meetings and other cadence-based forums
Act as a trusted conduit between the field and Head Office, translating central plans into field-relevant actions and feeding back insights, issues and opportunities
Support field enablement and troubleshooting, including new starter support, NPD asset availability, POS queries, system navigation and execution issues
Recommend and drive process improvements, whether through simplification, automation, redesign, offshoring or stopping low-value work altogether
Collaborate closely with systems and data teams, both onshore and offshore, to ensure smooth data flow and effective support
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a blend of commercial curiosity, operational discipline and strong stakeholder engagement:
Experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Planning, Sales Analytics or a similar role, ideally within FMCG or a complex commercial environment
Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret performance, identify opportunities and translate insight into practical actions
A natural problem-solver mindset, comfortable making decisions on what to improve and how
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify information and tailor messages for field teams
Confidence working cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing, Finance and Demand Planning
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, collaborative approach that contributes positively to team capability and culture
Experience competitive perks, flexible work options, and become part of a diverse team that celebrates global success. At Diageo, we craft products that are central to celebrations worldwide. Our vibrant culture reflects this spirit as we work flexibly around life commitments while continuously striving for growth!
Diageo champions diversity as a catalyst for innovation. We actively promote employment opportunities for people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTI communities, and other diverse groups. We ensure inclusivity through reasonable adjustments throughout our recruitment process.
