The Business Systems Analyst bridges business strategy and technology with a global platform perspective. This role will support DTNA’s Daimler Truck Remarketing (DTR) systems through gathering and defining requirements, leading business analysis, driving solution design by translating strategic goals into actionable tech solutions while navigating complex cross-systems-dependencies and ensuring uninterrupted business operations during major business transitions, and ensuring quality assurance and continuous improvement. The role requires strong leadership, communication, technical skills, and deep understanding of truck operations and market trends.

Business Analysis: Analyze complex business needs, conduct process mapping, identify inefficiencies, and recommend IT solutions that drive process improvement, automation, and integration of software systems across Sales, Marketing, Finance Reporting, and Dealer systems in alignment with the organizational strategic plan.
Requirements & Documentation: Elicit, document, and manage detailed end-to-end business and system requirements, translating them into clear technical specifications and system enhancement planning.
Full Life Cycle Development & Production Support: Lead IT work packages, provide production support for high visibility content, resolving extract failures, broken connections, corrupted workbooks, and stale content; triage Tableau VizAlerts and coordinate with BI admins during incidents.
Enterprise Dashboard Oversight: Own and support a portfolio of enterprise dashboards across DTR Controlling, Sales, Marketing and Finance with regular dashboard hygiene, enforcing role-based access, and maintaining audit-ready content.
Data & Reporting Improvements: Improve reporting and analytics capabilities across multiple business areas through design of system updates, data requirements, and cross‑platform integrations, including improving data trust for key performance indicators by investigating and mitigating issues and delivering enhancement proposals as needed.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Act as a key liaison between business leaders, IT, and cross-functional teams, managing external vendor and internal stakeholder relationships and shaping IT demand to evaluate current‑state processes, identify gaps, and propose scalable system or process improvements that meet the needs of business users.
Complex Problem-Solving: Lead analysis for large-scale initiatives, solving complex issues from strategy to execution using end-to-end process thinking. Ship urgent business fixes (e.g., logic/code updates, branch filters, credential re‑publishing) under tight timelines to keep operations and month‑end close on track.
Systems Maintenance: Support ongoing maintenance and optimization of Dealer Management Systems, Brand Websites, DTNA Portal, and Communications tools.
Quality Assurance, Testing, and Process Improvement: Lead quality assurance (QA) planning, test case development, and user acceptance testing (UAT) execution. Identify opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness, drive automation, and implement innovative technological solutions. Harden environment readiness by executing smoke tests during server upgrades/rollbacks and quickly rebuilding/reporting content to restore continuity after rollbacks.
Best Practice Advocacy: Bring external insights, championing industry best practices, Agile frameworks, and new technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analysis or another related field AND at least 5 years of experience as a business systems analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities, OR 10+ years of proven experience in business systems analysis, IT, or related fields in lieu of a degree.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and drive change.
Technical: Proficiency in various business analyst tools, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Lean), and understanding of system landscapes.
Communication: Exceptional skills in communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing stakeholders.
Analytical: Deep analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
Business acumen: Strong ability to grasp business processes, financial analysis, and to clearly and concisely explain potential system solutions to business users as well as different levels of management.
Microsoft Office Proficiency: Advanced Excel (macros), Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, SharePoint.
