The Senior Manager – Business Systems Analyst provides strategic leadership and oversight for a diverse team responsible for key operational, supervisory, and regulatory processes. This role manages end to end activities across client statements, written supervisory procedures (WSP), reconciliation, electronic data sharing, month end processing, audit controls, eWorkflow, and other critical business functions. The Senior Manager will partner closely with risk, compliance, internal and external auditors, technology, and legal teams to ensure accuracy, operational excellence, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
A core responsibility of this role is driving operational efficiencies and identifying cost reduction opportunities across processes, systems, and vendor interactions. The Senior Manager develops and executes strategies that streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and lower operating expenses—while ensuring accuracy, operational excellence, and full compliance with regulatory requirements
The Senior Manager needs to confidently represent their team’s work, lead meetings with stakeholders at every level of the organization and translate complex processes into clear insights and recommendations.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team responsible for diverse operational and supervisory processes.
Establish clear priorities, goals, and performance expectations to support organizational and regulatory requirements.
Provide subject‑matter expertise across all supported process areas, promoting continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly processing for client statements, reconciliation functions, external data sharing, and month‑end activities.
Ensure accurate execution and maintenance of written supervisory procedures (WSP) and related audit controls.
Maintain strong working relationships with risk, compliance, internal and external auditors, legal, and other control partners to ensure adherence to internal and external regulatory standards.
Prepare for and support audits, regulatory examinations, and process reviews.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate operational risks across supported areas.
Lead meetings with stakeholders at all organizational levels, from front‑line teams to senior leadership.
Collaborate with technology partners to prioritize enhancements, communicate business requirements, and support system changes or releases.
Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and improved controls.
Ensure documentation, procedures, and team materials are accurate, current, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
7+ years of experience in business systems analysis, operations, financial services, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of regulatory and operational processes, including supervisory procedures, reconciliation functions, and audit controls.
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and collaborate effectively with risk, compliance, technology, and legal partners.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
3+ years of people-leadership experience, including coaching and developing teams.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Series 7
Familiarity with eWorkflow, BETA, CLOA, OFM, XNET and Client Viewer and operational reporting tools.
Familiarity with Ameriprise products.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to solve complex issues and propose practical solutions.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
The estimated base salary for this role is $120,000 - $147,000/ year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
