The Sr. Manager, Launch Excellence & Marketing Operations, OTTAVA will be the central hub GSM Launch Excellence Strategic Project Management, ensuring commercial readiness from Marketing and Launch Operations for OTTAVA. This role will have responsibility for advancing ways of working to accelerate strategy execution and cross-functional/regional engagement. This will require strong collaboration skills and partnership across J&J MedTech, with Global Strategic Marketing, Brand, CommOps, Service, Deliver and Program Management.
Reporting to the Director, Launch Excellence & Operations, this role will be critical in building & maintaining integrated project plans across releases and geographies, tracking risks and dependencies, driving execution & producing executive reporting.
The ideal candidate is a leader who can connect the endtoend strategic vision with daytoday execution, proactively identifying dependencies and risks, challenging assumptions through critical questioning, and driving disciplined, rigorous tracking and reporting.
Lead the evolution, implementation and adoption of streamlined & iterative Launch Excellence framework for OTTAVA, building the foundational mechanisms to support an accelerated cadence of innovation.
Evolve and execute Governance, Ways of Working and Operating Mechanisms of different workstreams within OTTAVA GSM organization, in support of OTTAVA Launch Excellence plans.
Build, run and sustain Integrated Project Plans, monitoring critical paths, and tracking activities, dependencies, risks, mitigations and assumptions across OTTAVA Launch release cadence.
Develop & sustain streamlined tools for Strategic Project Tracking, driving adoption, rigor and accountability & keeping plans current with key partners & stakeholders.
Proactively partner with CrossFunctional partners for a seamless synchronization of timelines with Program Management and Operational Readiness workstreams.
Support Global Leadership and Marketing board engagement forums with meeting logistics & agendas, driving meeting hygiene (agenda, minutes, action plan followups), keeping key partners accountable.
Prepare executiveready scorecards & status updates for Senior Leadership forums
Lead by the example, delivering rigor in execution and demonstrating a fast learning and growth mindset, operating by J&J C.E.O principles (Compete, Execute, Optimize)
Provide guidance and support to teams involved in launch activities, ensuring clear roles & responsibilities.
** Education:**
Minimum of 8 years of relevant progressive experience in MedTech field, in Marketing or Commercial Operations, Project Management or Program / Product Management roles.
Experience managing new product development or new product introduction projects in MedTech.
Strong background in Project / Program management (PMP, Agile, or equivalent certification is a plus).
Proficient level with Project Management solutions (MS Project, Planner, AirTable…) and MS Office package.
Demonstrated ability to connect strategy to execution by evolving business objectives into structured, dependencydriven plans, with clear milestones, and measurable outcomes.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives across Marketing, Brand, CommOps, Service, Customer Service and Operations.
Proven track record of anticipating downstream impacts across complex programs, proactively challenging assumptions, surfacing tradeoffs, and driving timely, databased decision.
Ability to operate in a matrix at speed; proactive risk/issue escalation and resolution
Demonstrated ability to lead Change, driving adoption through strong relationships with key stakeholders, with organizational savviness.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills & executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence decision making at all levels.
Capability to execute flawlessly in high paced environment. Able to work independently with minimal direction.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
This role will be based out of Santa Clara, CA. and may require up to 15% travel (domestic and international)
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $142,000 to $244,950
