The Salesforce DevOps Engineer is responsible for building and operating reliable CI/CD and release processes for Salesforce. The role combines strong DevOps automation skills with Salesforce deployment expertise to deliver changes safely, consistently, and with full traceability across environments.
Drive the DevOps and release strategy for a global Salesforce Sales & Service implementation
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/Git, SFDX/sf CLI, validation deploys, automated tests, quality gates)
Define environment and branching strategy, release governance, approvals, and rollback/hotfix procedures
Troubleshoot deployment issues (metadata dependencies, test failures, permissions) and continuously improve speed and stability
Enforce DevOps standards (PR policies, coding/deployment best practices, secrets management, auditability)
Academic degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification
5+ years of experience in DevOps / Release Engineering, ideally with Salesforce delivery
Proven hands-on experience building and running CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce (e.g., Azure DevOps/Git, SFDX/sf CLI)
Strong understanding of Salesforce deployment concepts (metadata, environments/sandboxes, Apex tests & coverage, dependencies, rollback/hotfix)
Solid scripting/automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) and experience with build tools and artifacts
Experience with quality gates and code checks (automated tests, static analysis, PR policies)
Knowledge of authentication and secrets management (service connections, Key Vault or equivalent)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with developers, admins, QA, and architects
Passion for improving processes and sharing knowledge
Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal)
Open to international travel (up to 10%)
