eCommerce & AI Enablement Manager – Hairburst
Rewarding salary + 10% bonus + benefits
Hybrid (Manchester)
We've teamed up with the fast growing hair care brand, Hairburst, who are now in the market to secure an eCommerce & AI Enablement Manager to join the team.
Hairburst is a global beauty and wellbeing brand, operating across nine territories with over 1 million customers.
We're building the infrastructure for our next phase of growth, bringing ecommerce, performance, CRM, creative and data together under one Growth Studio.
We're entrepreneurial, ambitious and committed to using technology and AI to work smarter, move faster and scale effectively.
We're looking for a commercially minded, technically curious self-starter to lead our ecommerce platforms and champion AI adoption across the business.
This isn't a role for someone who simply manages systems and external partners. We want someone who spots opportunities, challenges existing processes and proactively researches, tests and builds solutions.
You'll own our DTC technology ecosystem, lead our ecommerce function and act as an internal AI enabler, helping teams across Growth, CRM, Operations and Finance unlock efficiencies through smarter use of technology.
You don't need to be a developer or AI engineer, but you should be comfortable getting hands-on, experimenting with new tools and turning ideas into practical solutions within our existing infrastructure.
Own the platforms. Challenge the process. Build smarter ways of working.
AI Enablement & Innovation
Champion AI adoption, proactively identifying opportunities to improve how teams operate.
Research, test and implement AI tools, workflows and automation solutions.
Build practical solutions using existing platforms, APIs, no-code/low-code tools and AI-assisted development.
Support teams with implementation, training and adoption, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and deliver measurable value.
Stay curious about emerging technology and continually challenge how we work.
Own Shopify and our wider DTC ecosystem, including Fulfil, subscription, CRM, payments and analytics.
Ensure systems are stable, connected and scalable, with accurate data flowing between platforms.
Independently investigate technical challenges, research solutions and manage external specialists where needed.
Identify opportunities to simplify our technology stack, automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
Lead and develop our Ecommerce Executive, ensuring strong day-to-day trading and execution.
Own our CRO and development agency relationship, prioritising activity against commercial opportunities.
Drive improvements in conversion, UX, merchandising and customer journeys across our international markets.
Ensure ecommerce tracking, data and reporting foundations support informed decision-making.
We're looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys building, problem-solving and making things happen.
Naturally curious: You're genuinely excited by AI and emerging technology, actively experimenting with what's possible.
A self-starter: You spot opportunities, take initiative and don't wait for someone to tell you what needs improving.
Hands-on and resourceful: Your instinct is to investigate, research and find a solution, not immediately outsource the problem.
Technically confident: You're comfortable navigating Shopify, integrations, APIs, data flows and automation tools.
Commercially minded: You understand ecommerce performance and prioritise solutions that deliver genuine business value.
An enabler: You enjoy sharing knowledge, developing others and helping teams adopt better ways of working.
Adaptable: You thrive in an ambitious, fast-moving business where not everything comes with a predefined process.
Experience across ecommerce, digital platforms or technology, ideally within DTC.
Strong Shopify experience, ideally Shopify Plus and Markets.
Demonstrable experience implementing AI, automation or technology-led improvements.
Understanding of ecommerce integrations, APIs, data and wider technology ecosystems.
Experience managing external development partners and at least one direct report.
Strong commercial understanding of ecommerce, CRO and customer journeys.
Bonus points: Experience with Claude, ChatGPT, n8n, Make, Zapier, Fulfil, subscription ecommerce or building AI workflows and agents.
We're more interested in what you've independently explored, built and implemented than how many tools you can list on your CV.
AI and automation are actively adopted, delivering measurable efficiencies across the business.
Manual processes are reduced through smarter, connected solutions.
Our ecommerce platforms and data infrastructure are stable and scalable.
Conversion and customer experience continue to improve across markets.
Teams see you as their go-to person for solving challenges through technology.
You're consistently bringing ideas, challenging processes and turning opportunities into action.
