The Deal Desk Specialist supports the end-to-end quote-to-cash and sales request lifecycle by managing deal intake, preparing accurate customer quotes and proposals, coordinating approvals, and ensuring Salesforce opportunity and contract data is complete, accurate, and audit-ready. This role serves as a key operational partner to Sales and cross-functional teams to deliver timely, compliant, and consistent deal execution while continuously improving deal desk processes and documentation.
Maintain strong CRM hygiene by ensuring Salesforce Opportunity, quote, and order data is accurate, complete, consistent, and audit-ready throughout the deal lifecycle.
Serve as a trusted operational partner to Sales by providing clear guidance on deal desk processes, timelines, and requirements, and escalating risks or exceptions appropriately.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure smooth handoffs, timely issue resolution, and a positive internal and customer experience.
Identify reoccurring trends, errors, or bottlenecks in deals and requests, and recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, or policy clarifications.
Create, revise, and issue accurate customer quotes and proposals in Salesforce for new and existing customers, ensuring alignment with approved products, pricing, discount thresholds, billing cadence, subscription terms, and commercial policies.
Validate all Opportunity inputs required for quoting (e.g, products/services, quantities, pricing, discounts, start/end dates) and proactively resolve gaps or discrepancies with Sales.
Manage and coordinate the deal approval workflow, routing requests to appropriate approvers, tracking status, and driving timely completion to meet deal timelines and SLAs.
Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready quote documentation in Salesforce, including versions, approvals, supporting rationale, and customer-facing materials.
Serve as the first point of intake for Deal Desk and Sales Impact requests related to Salesforce opportunities, order processing, and contract administration; validate completeness, clarify requirements, prioritize work, and route or escalate non-standard request as needed.
Act as a primary processor for Salesforce Opportunity close activities, ensuring accurate stage, close, pricing, and supporting documentation to support forecasting, reporting, and downstream execution
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Implementation, and Customer Support to resolve requests requiring multiple stakeholders; communicate status, next steps, and timelines clearly.
Support contract administration and customer offboarding activities, including renewals, amendments, terminations, and returns/exchanges, by validating applicable MSA and commercial terms and coordinating required internal actions.
Bachelor’s degree in related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree for otherwise highly qualified candidates.
Minimum 3 years of experience in sales support, deal desk, sales operations/revenue operations, customer service, and/or administrative support.
Strong Salesforce proficiency; ability to maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready opportunity records and supporting documentation (CPQ/Revenue Cloud a plus).
Excellent organization and prioritization skills; proven ability to triage and manage multiple concurrent requests while meeting SLAs and deadlines.
High attention to detail and strong quality-control mindset, especially for CRM updates, close processes, and customer-impacting requests.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Strong internal customer service orientation and ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders at multiple levels.
Flexibility to support increased business volume during peak periods, including holidays and quarter-end close.
SaaS Subscription model experience preferred.
The estimated annual base salary for this position is $67,000 to $72,000. Please note that this range does not include any other compensation or benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc.
