Privia's Senior Manager of Salesforce Engineering oversees the day-to-day construction, tactical adoption, and innovative execution of the Salesforce platform across our growing nationwide network. Operating at the intersection of practical business needs and technical delivery, this role is responsible for managing a high-performing engineering delivery team to turn functional requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions. We are looking for a highly motivated, forward-thinking Salesforce leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong automation-first mindset to daily operations. While this role requires an expert-level understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, the ideal candidate must be eager to deeply learn Privia’s unique healthcare business model rather than simply relying on past playbooks. The Senior Manager will partner closely with the Salesforce Product Owner, Platform Strategy, and our Platform Architect to ensure engineering output aligns seamlessly with our multi-year enterprise roadmap. Ultimately, the primary focus of this role is leading, mentoring, and organizing our delivery team—maximizing sprint efficiency, output quality, and deployment speed while actively unblocking technical disruptions—all while executing on the platform's architectural evolution and AI-driven future
Primary Job Duties:
Team Leadership, Delivery & Efficiency
Engineering Management: Provide direct oversight, daily mentorship, and career management for the Salesforce Engineering team, which includes both onshore and offshore administrators and developers.
Delivery Excellence: Supervise the design, configuration, development, testing, and deployment of technical solutions to ensure the team consistently balances engineering accuracy with rapid speed-to-market.
Release Standards: Establish and enforce rigorous deployment readiness standards, ensuring all environment migrations follow structured automated testing and change management protocols to guarantee smooth, zero-disruption production releases.
Agile Execution & Blockers: Drive robust Agile and DevOps processes, managing sprint planning and backlog grooming while actively identifying and resolving technical dependencies to keep the team unblocked.
SLA & Support Accountability: Hold the engineering team accountable to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for maintaining existing projects, resolving support requests, and ensuring overall platform stability.
Roadmap Execution, Collaboration & Platform Innovation
Strategic Alignment: Partner with Operations Teams, Platform Strategy, and the Platform Architect to maintain operational alignment, ensuring engineering initiatives map directly to Privia's defined strategic roadmap.
Architectural Collaboration: Collaborate on the target architecture evolution spanning Sales, Service, Experience/Community, and our use of Snowflake, providing critical engineering input on declarative versus programmatic execution.
Innovation & AI Readiness: Stay at the forefront of innovative Salesforce capabilities—including AI readiness, Agentforce, and Data Cloud connectivity—to infuse an automation-first philosophy across the delivery lifecycle.
Tool Optimization & Governance: Participate in operational discussions about the corporate toolset, championing Salesforce when it is the right technical solution, managing third-party AppExchange integrations, and highlighting alternative tools when appropriate.
Compliance & Security: Ensure that all engineering team outputs rigidly embed HIPAA/PHI controls, data security, and platform privacy standards into the system.
Experience: 8+ years of deep experience within the Salesforce platform ecosystem, with at least 3+ years in a dedicated engineering leadership, team lead, or technical management capacity.
Platform Expertise: Strong experience with a complex enterprise Salesforce environment leveraging Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community/Experience Cloud.
Technical Breadth & Release Governance: Strong hands-on background in Salesforce development technologies (Apex, Lightning, Flows) alongside practical experience utilizing enterprise deployment tools such as Copado and executing release governance protocols.
AI & Connectivity Experience: Practical experience implementing Salesforce AI capabilities (such as Einstein GPT, Agentforce, or similar tools) within a production environment, alongside a strong background in complex connectivity involving REST/GraphQL, MuleSoft, Event-driven architecture, and Data Cloud.
Data Modeling: Mastery of data modeling and identity management, specifically regarding how they relate to AI grounding and data masking.
Automation & Core Tools: Deep experience with workflow automation, process optimization, and data integration/ETL tools like MuleSoft and Data Loader.
Compliance: Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks within a regulated industry, with a strict requirement to comply with HIPAA rules and best practices.
Required Certifications: Must hold current Salesforce certifications including Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, and Service Cloud Consultant, alongside a continuous willingness to pursue further platform certifications.Desired Qualifications:
Advanced Certifications: Architect-track certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect, or Development Lifecycle & Deployment Architect) or Salesforce Certified AI Specialist.
AI & Data Cloud Exposure: Familiarity with implementing Salesforce AI capabilities or managing Data Cloud and Zero-Copy integrations with external data warehouses.
Healthcare Interoperability: Exposure to healthcare integration standards like HL7/FHIR or experience connecting Salesforce to external EMR and EHR systems.
AppExchange Management: History of managing a heavily customized org utilizing diverse AppExchange solutions such as Pardot, DocuSign, TaskRay, and TargetRecruit.
