🌍 Salesforce Administrator

📍 Onsite - Seville | Verto Education 🔗 Learn more about us: https://vertoeducation.org

🌍 About Verto

Verto is on a mission to provide the best possible start to college. We make travel and experiential education a core part of the first year, enabling students to begin their academic journey overseas before transferring to one of 70+ partner universities in the United States.

We are building a more accessible, more impactful model of higher education. We are a fast-growing, mission-driven organisation creating transformational global experiences.

✨ About the Role

We're hiring a Salesforce Administrator to own the day-to-day health of our org and help us build what comes next. You'll report to our Engineering Team Manager and work alongside our engineers, PMs, and the ops teams who live in Salesforce every day.

This isn't a ticket-closing job. We want someone who fixes the root cause, cleans up as they go, and tells us when a request is the wrong idea.

Location: Seville, Spain. Occasional travel between our European sites.

Hours: You'll need regular overlap with US working hours, particularly US Eastern. e.g. available until 19:00 CET at least four days a week, with occasional later calls for US Pacific developers.

🚀 What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities:

  • Build new features end-to-end with declarative tools. Take a feature request from the business, work out what's really needed, and deliver it with Flow, objects and fields, Lightning pages, Dynamic Forms and the rest of the platform's click-based toolset. Code is the last resort, not the first.

  • Own user management and access. Profiles kept minimal, permission sets and permission set groups doing the real work, sharing rules that make sense.

  • Build and maintain automation in Flow. Keep it documented, testable, and easy for the next person to read. Help us retire old automation that nobody understands anymore.

  • Configure objects, fields, page layouts, Lightning pages, validation rules and record types as the business changes.

  • Work in sandboxes and move changes through our release process. No building straight in production.

  • Keep data clean. Duplicate rules, imports and updates with Data Loader or similar, and fixing bad data at the source instead of patching reports.

  • Build reports and dashboards people actually use, and help teams answer their own questions.

  • Take part in security reviews: field-level security, audit trail, login and session settings, connected apps.

  • Read the release notes three times a year and tell us what matters, including the AI and Agentforce features worth trying and the ones that aren't ready.

  • Triage and resolve Salesforce requests from staff, and write down what you learned so it doesn't come back.

  • Partner with engineers on integrations and code-backed features, and with PMs on requirements before anything gets built.

🧠 What We’re Looking For

Must-have:

  • English at B2 level or higher (CEFR). Required. Our team and our students work in English, and you'll be writing requirements, documentation, and Slack messages every day. You don't need to be a native speaker. You do need to follow a fast technical conversation and explain a change clearly in writing.

  • Ability to work on-site in an office environment

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator (formerly Salesforce Certified Administrator). Required and current.

  • 3+ years administering a live Salesforce org with real users and real data.

  • A track record of shipping new features with declarative tools, not just maintaining an org. Be ready to walk us through one you built from request to release.

  • Solid Flow experience: record-triggered, screen and scheduled flows, plus fault handling.

  • A security-first habit with permissions. You grant the least access that gets the job done.

  • Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously. You write things down, you ask when you're stuck, and you don't wait to be chased.

  • Good judgment about when to say no, or "not like that", to a request.

Nice-to-have:

  • Apex experience. Reading it well enough to debug a trigger or explain what a class does is a real plus. Writing and testing it is better. We don't expect you to be a developer, but knowing where config ends and code begins helps a lot.

  • Additional Salesforce certifications, for example:

  • Platform App Builder

  • Advanced Administrator

  • Platform Developer I

  • Sharing and Visibility Architect or Data Architect

  • Agentforce Specialist

  • Experience with source control and deployment tools: Git, Salesforce CLI, DevOps Center or a third-party tool like Gearset or Copado.

  • SOQL for troubleshooting and ad hoc data questions.

  • Experience with Experience Cloud or integrations with outside systems.

  • Background in education, higher ed or study abroad.

How we work:

Small team, a lot of trust. Work is tracked in Asana and talked about in Slack. We use AI tools every day and expect you to as well. We'd rather ship a small, well-scoped thing on time than a perfect thing late, and we follow a documented process so stakeholders always know what we need from them and when.
