Job Summary

The Business Systems Manager is responsible for leading the implementation, optimization, and ongoing administration of NetSuite ERP and related business applications. This role owns the full lifecycle of NetSuite from initial configuration and data migration through go-live and continuous improvement ensuring core business systems support operational efficiency, data integrity, and scalable growth across engineering, manufacturing, and field operations. In addition to ERP ownership, the role supports document control and information governance within SharePoint and associated platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on NetSuite ERP implementation experience (required) within an engineering, mining, manufacturing, or industrial environment and is comfortable operating in a dynamic start-up environment, wearing multiple hats and contributing to many areas of business development. This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Leadership to translate business needs into reliable, well-governed systems.

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 5–8 years of experience supporting or administering ERP systems within engineering, mining, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

  • Required: Direct, hands-on experience implementing NetSuite ERP (end-to-end), including system configuration, data migration, testing, and go-live.

  • Experience with NetSuite modules such as Financials (GL/AP/AR), Procurement, Inventory, Project Accounting, and/or Manufacturing.

  • Experience working with NetSuite implementation partners and managing timelines, deliverables, and system requirements.

  • Experience with data migration, system integrations, and reporting within NetSuite (e.g., saved searches, dashboards).

  • Experience with document control, SharePoint administration, or enterprise content management systems preferred.

Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation and ownership of NetSuite ERP, including requirements gathering, system design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live.

  • Serve as the internal NetSuite system owner and administrator, managing roles, permissions, workflows, and configurations.

  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Engineering to configure NetSuite to support costing, inventory, project tracking, and financial reporting requirements.

  • Oversee and execute data migration into NetSuite, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.

  • Manage relationships with NetSuite vendors, consultants, and implementation partners, ensuring deliverables meet business needs and timelines.

  • Design and maintain NetSuite reporting, dashboards, and saved searches to support leadership decision-making.

  • Support integrations between NetSuite and related business systems, including reporting, inventory, purchasing, and project tracking tools.

  • Drive post-implementation optimization, including process improvements, automation, and system enhancements within NetSuite.

  • Maintain system documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures related to ERP usage and governance.

  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Engineering to ensure ERP data supports accurate reporting, costing, and decision-making.

  • Administer and support SharePoint sites used for document control, engineering records, policies, and internal collaboration.

  • Establish and maintain document control standards, permissions, versioning, and retention practices within SharePoint and associated systems.

  • Assist in identifying system gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or process improvement.

  • Provide user training, troubleshooting, and ongoing support for ERP and document management tools.

  • Ensure systems align with internal controls, audit requirements, and data security best practices.

  • Abide by all policies and procedures established by DISA.

  • Attend and participate in all required safety trainings.

  • Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.

Requirements

Required Skills

  • Expert-level proficiency in NetSuite ERP administration and implementation (required).

  • Strong understanding of ERP architecture, financial systems, and operational workflows within NetSuite.

  • Experience with NetSuite configuration, workflows, roles/permissions, and reporting tools.

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and business process workflows in industrial or technical environments.

  • Proven experience implementing new systems and processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into system solutions.

  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects effectively.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.

  • Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA/MSHA and company safety standards.

  • Be a valid U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit and/ or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.

  • Must be able to interact with people and technology while either standing or sitting.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as typing.

Compensation Range

  • $100,000-$130,000 DOE
