Business Banking (BB) offers a wide range of services and solutions to the Group’s small to medium, regional and agribusiness and corporate customers.
Specialist Sales & Client Solutions provides a comprehensive range of banking solutions to business banking customers across key vertical industries including Healthcare, Professional Services, Defence, Real Estate, Hospitality and Environmental & Social (including Indigenous Business), as well as specialist product and payment solutions across the Business Banking segments.
This role sits within Specialist Sales & Client Solutions and operates as the central strategy and sales enablement function across all industry verticals.
Anchored initially within CommBank Health, the role will expand across multiple industry streams and partners closely with stream leads to define and shape the strategic agenda.
You will lead a high-performing team of strategy and sales enablement specialists, including strategy analysts and managers responsible for banker capability programs, sales training and lead qualification.
As Executive Manager, Strategy & Sales Enablement, your contribution will support the delivery of the Specialist Sales & Client Solutions strategic agenda aligned to Business Banking priorities.
As a member of the Specialist Sales & Client Solutions extended leadership ecosystem, the Executive Manager, Strategy & Sales Enablement will be expected to perform the following tasks in a manner consistent with CBA’s Values:
Define and deliver industry strategies across Specialist Sales verticals, aligned to Business Banking priorities.
Develop annual plans and strategic roadmaps for each industry in partnership with stream leads.
Scope market opportunities across priority industries, leveraging data and insights to identify growth segments and inform strategy.
Provide strategy support for thought leadership in partnership with GM Go-to-Market.
Lead the design and implementation of sales enablement frameworks to uplift capability and execution consistency across Business Banking.
Work with industry stream leads on system and sales capability programs to improve frontline effectiveness.
Tailor go-to-market assets into content for Business Bank distribution channels.
Enable consistent and scalable deployment of industry strategies across all Business Banking segments.
Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence alignment across industry stream leads and Business Banking stakeholders.
Risk management. Effective role modelling and leadership of risk culture.
We’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded leader with 20+ years experience in business banking, strategy development and sales enablement, who brings strong capability in influencing outcomes across complex environments.
Proven experience in developing and delivering business or industry strategies.
Strong understanding of Business Banking segments, products and customer needs.
Demonstrated experience in sales enablement, including capability development, training and design.
Ability to leverage data and insights to inform strategy and improve performance outcomes.
Strong commercial acumen with understanding of growth drivers including revenue, lending, deposits and customer acquisition.
Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving outcomes without direct authority.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
