Position Summary The Salesforce Release Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing reliable, secure, and repeatable releases across Salesforce environments. This role ensures high‑quality deployments aligned with enterprise DevOps standards, compliance requirements, and release calendars while enabling development teams to deliver features at speed and scale. The Release Engineer closely partners with Salesforce Developers, Architects, QA, DevOps, Platform Support, and business stakeholders to manage end‑to‑end release activities across multiple Salesforce clouds and orgs.
5+ years of experience in Salesforce Release engineering , DevOps ,Salesforce development
Strong hands‑on experience with Salesforce metadata deployments
Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (Copado, AutoRabit, Gearset, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of Release management and change management processes, Git/version control concepts ,CI/CD pipelines
Ability to manage complex, multi‑team releases under tight timelines
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Deployment & Automation
Execute and/or orchestrate deployments using Salesforce DevOps tools (e.g., Copado, AutoRabit, Gearset, Git‑based pipelines)
Manage change sets, metadata deployments, version control merges, and CI/CD pipelines
Automate deployments and validations to reduce manual error and improve reliability
Validate deployments with appropriate pre‑ and post‑release checks
Environment & Configuration Management
Coordinate sandbox strategy (refreshes, usage, access controls)
Manage environment‑specific configurations, feature flags, and release toggles
Partner with External teams & Development teams to ensure environment readiness
Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement improvements to release processes, tooling, and automation
Monitor deployment metrics (failure rates, lead time, rollback frequency)
Drive standardization across teams and Salesforce orgs
Release Planning & Coordination
Own the Salesforce release calendar across sandboxes, staging, and production
Plan and coordinate major, minor, and hotfix releases across multiple teams
Facilitate release readiness reviews, go/no‑go decisions, and rollback planning
Ensure dependency tracking across features, integrations, and environments
Produce release documentation, audit artifacts, and deployment evidence
Stakeholder Communication
Communicate release scope, timelines, risks, and deployment outcomes
Publish release notes and post‑release summaries
Serve as the central point of coordination during release windows and incident response
Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, DevOps certifications)
Experience supporting large enterprise Salesforce footprints (multiple orgs, multiple clouds)
Exposure to Salesforce Data Cloud / Agentforce Deployments
Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ITSM / ALM tools
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related Field

The typical pay range for this role is:
$101,970.00 - $203,940.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
