Business Overview Rakuten Mobile launched its full-scale service in April 2020 as the fourth MNO (Mobile Network Operator) in Japan—the first to be approved in 13 years—with the goal of providing high-quality mobile communication services at fair prices.
In February 2025, we surpassed 8.5 million subscriptions, and in December 2025, we achieved 10 million subscriptions. We also began full-scale service provision for corporate clients in January 2023. As a core business driving the future growth of the Rakuten Group, we are making large-scale investments, attracting significant attention both domestically and internationally.

Department Overview This department provides mobile services and solutions to corporate clients. By leveraging Rakuten Mobile and other group assets, we partner with corporate clients to identify and solve their diverse challenges, empowering them along the way.
About the Sales Planning Group, Promotion Team 1, Sales Planning & Management Section As a cross-functional organization within the Corporate Sales Department, we are primarily responsible for managing progress against KPIs and analyzing sales challenges. Beyond simple progress tracking, our mission is to drive the achievement of KPIs by collecting, grasping, analyzing, and resolving sales issues, as well as formulating policies and strategies to reach our goals.
Why We Hire We are planning to increase our headcount to support our expanding organization and the growing need for operational refinement in progress management, as well as the planning and execution of new strategies.
Position Details Mission To support sales by managing progress against KPIs and formulating policies and strategies to ensure the Rakuten Mobile Corporate Sales organization achieves its goals.
Key Roles
Promoting the achievement of the Rakuten Mobile Corporate Sales organization's goals through the following three pillars:
- Information Gathering: Comprehensively grasping trends and performance across the entire Corporate Sales Department (sales, operations, strategy, etc.) and appropriately selecting information relevant to achieving organizational goals (line acquisition, profitability).
- Action Plan Formulation: Developing concrete action plans based on data and providing a roadmap for achieving organizational goals.
- Action Execution & Promotion: Involving stakeholders to steadily put action plans into practice and driving the achievement of goals.
Specific Examples
- Designing KPIs for subscription and revenue targets for the Rakuten Mobile Corporate Sales Department and ensuring they are understood by the field.
- Designing and implementing sub-KPIs for sales activity volume to ensure subscription targets are met.
- Planning and executing sales strategies and initiatives for line acquisition based on acquisition trends and field realities.
- Creating high-level reports for the CEO and executives.
Work Environment 3 members
- Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to find solutions to problems from multiple perspectives.
