Manager, Sales Operations - Hybrid/Remote/Office
ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation united by a mission to bring new medicines and treatments to patients faster.
As a values-driven organisation, integrity, collaboration, agility, and inclusion are at the heart of how we work and interact with each other, customers, patients and suppliers.
At ICON our Sales Operations team plays a critical role in shaping commercial strategy and driving business growth through data-driven decision making. We're looking for a commercially minded, analytical Sales Operations Manager who thrives on turning complex data into meaningful insights that help sales leaders strengthen sales performance and accelerate revenue growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Sales Operations, Finance, Commercial Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Sales Support experience who enjoys working at the intersection of data, strategy, and business performance. Whether your background is within a CRO, pharmaceutical company, healthcare organisation, or another data-rich commercial environment, we'd love to hear from you.
As a trusted partner to sales leadership, you'll be responsible for delivering the insights, reporting, and analysis that drive commercial success. You will:
Analyse sales performance, pipeline activity, forecasting data, and market trends to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for growth.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and forecasting models that provide meaningful business insights.
Transform complex datasets into actionable recommendations that support strategic decision making.
Drive improvements to sales processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Ensure the integrity, governance, and consistency of commercial data across systems and reporting tools.
Provide the sales teams with guidance and support on tools, systems, reporting, and operational processes.
Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Business Development, and Operational leaders to align commercial priorities and objectives.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance sales effectiveness and revenue predictability.
Coach and develop junior members of the Sales Operations team.
We're open to candidates from a variety of analytical and commercial backgrounds. You may currently work in Sales Operations, Commercial Excellence, Finance, Revenue Operations, Business Intelligence, Sales Support, Data Analytics, or a similar function.
We're particularly interested in candidates who bring:
Experience analysing business or sales performance data and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence decision making through data.
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, data modelling, pivot tables, reporting, and analysis.
Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and an understanding of how commercial data flows through sales processes.
Exposure to dashboarding and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.
Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical research, healthcare, or other data-driven commercial industries would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with senior leaders.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a passion for driving business performance through data.
