In this role, you will support sales operations and data management activities across key systems, including the Global Sales Database (GSD) and Magna Electronics Pursuit Management (MPM). You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and data integrity.
Working closely with Sales and Product Area teams, you will provide data-driven insights, maintain high-quality datasets, and support strategic decision-making. You will also act as a key interface between Sales, Product Areas, and Finance, particularly in relation to reporting and revenue-related activities.
As an Sales Analyst, you will take ownership of the Global Sales Database tool for your assigned customers, ensuring high data quality and enabling reliable sales forecasting and market transparency in close collaboration with Sales.
Manage and maintain vehicle volume data, including validation against IHS benchmarks
Ensure pricing accuracy by aligning data with ERP systems
Maintain product data (e.g., take rates, product categories)
Monitor and track Long-Term Agreements (LTA) versus planning, including follow-ups
Update sourcing opportunities and pipeline data
Ensure data consistency across GSD, MPM, Ironclad, and other relevant tools
Monitor and update competitor and market intelligence
Support MPM processes, including registrations, agenda preparation, meeting documentation, and approval follow-ups
Prepare and analyze sales reports and forecasts
Support Sales teams in improving reporting capabilities and data processes
Provide key sales KPIs and analyses for monthly reports, GSD reviews, and other meetings
Participate in regular sales meetings to support preparation and derive actionable insights
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive industry
Proven experience in sales data analysis and reporting
Advanced analytical skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
Business fluent in written and spoken English
Fluent in written and spoken German are an advantage
Experience working in a global, matrixed organization
Self-driven with a proactive and hands-on mindset
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing environment
Strong numerical and analytical skills, including data visualization and a solid understanding of financial controlling principles
