Department Overview The Area Business Promotion Department leads the creation of customer touchpoints and business growth through real-world channels, with a core focus on the operation of Rakuten Mobile shops nationwide. Each store serves as a vital "front line of customer engagement," playing a significant role in supporting the brand experience by providing cross-sectional access to Rakuten Group services, including telecommunications, finance, and e-commerce. This position supports the sales operations that underpin our nationwide store network. Beyond mere administrative support, you will play a key role in supporting management decision-making and maximizing the performance of the department.
With the expansion of the Rakuten Mobile shop business, we need to strengthen our sales support structure to sustain our nationwide store network. As each store acts as a critical customer touchpoint for delivering not only telecommunications services but also a diverse range of Rakuten Group services, we require accurate and swift support from the headquarters to ensure smooth operations in the field. Therefore, we are opening this position to strengthen our organizational structure—aiming to improve the productivity of the entire sales organization and ensure smooth store operations—by managing new hire onboarding, providing management support, handling data aggregation and reporting, and addressing inquiries from stores.
In this position, you will contribute to creating an environment where the field team can perform their duties smoothly and improve overall organizational productivity through various operations, data aggregation, and management support for the Rakuten Mobile shop sales organization.
- Conduct onboarding for new hires, including orientation, entry procedures, business system account issuance, authority management, and various setup tasks.
- Manage and coordinate manager schedules, prepare and facilitate meetings, take minutes, and follow up on tasks.
- Aggregate KPI results, create reports, assist with budget-vs-actual management, and extract data/prepare materials for the execution of sales strategies.
- Handle inquiries from stores, process operational administrative tasks, and manage the administrative side of sales promotion tools and events. - TOEIC score of 600 or higher

- Experience in sales administration, sales support, departmental assistance, or back-office operations, with a track record of handling tasks to support internal stakeholders accurately and swiftly.
- Experience in multitasking various routine and non-routine duties, such as handling entry procedures, account issuance, various applications, meeting setups, schedule coordination, and inquiry responses.
- Experience in completing tasks within deadlines by organizing requests, prioritizing, and managing progress while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Practical experience in data aggregation and management using Excel, with the ability to organize KPI results and various figures, and create reports using functions and pivot tables.
- Experience in creating internal materials such as meeting documents, reports, and operational manuals using PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to demonstrate accuracy and coordination skills in fast-paced environments, such as supporting sales organizations or store operation departments.
- Experience in data aggregation and analysis using SQL, Python, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Experience in visualizing inefficiencies in existing operations using data or facts, and leading the reconstruction and optimization of workflows.
