Job Description

The Sales Operations Manager supports Reuters Professional's commercial teams (The Insurer, Digital, and Events) as a hands-on operations partner, enabling sales performance through data-driven insights, process improvement, and systems excellence. You'll work directly with the Senior Manager, Sales Operations and commercial leadership to streamline workflows, remove seller blockers, maintain CRM hygiene, and provide real-time visibility on sales performance. This is a fast-paced role for an action-oriented problem solver who connects operational dots, thinks critically about business impact, and actively drives sales velocity and revenue growth.

Relocation Support & Travel: Not applicable. Standard hybrid office-based role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous process improvement across the end-to-end sales lifecycle, removing friction, eliminating seller blockers, and working closely with campaign managers and ad operations to ensure smooth post-sale handoffs and consistent adherence to sales processes.

  • Own business requirements for Salesforce and order management system enhancements, specifying needs, supporting user acceptance testing, managing change rollouts, and delivering training to drive adoption and user proficiency.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and forecasting tools using Salesforce and BI platforms that provide sellers and leadership with reliable visibility of KPIs, pipeline health, and risks; use data to deliver actionable operational insights.

  • Enforce data governance and pipeline discipline through CRM data enrichment, cleanup, and quality monitoring; proactively identify and correct data gaps that impact forecasting accuracy, reporting reliability, and sales team productivity.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Customer Operations, Marketing, and Product to prioritize operational improvements, manage multiple concurrent projects, and translate business requirements into practical solutions with minimal guidance.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Sales Operations, Business Operations, or Commercial Support experience in B2B media, publishing, data intelligence, or SaaS

  • Solid working knowledge of Salesforce with exposure to order management/ERP systems; experience documenting system requirements and supporting testing for system enhancements

  • Proven skills in reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel); ability to analyze data and present performance metrics clearly and simply

  • Experience managing and improving processes and projects; ability to handle multiple priorities, deliver with limited guidance, and think critically about how operations affect sales performance and revenue

  • Strong understanding of the sales lifecycle and how it connects to finance, customer operations, marketing, and campaign delivery

  • Action-oriented problem solver with strong collaborative communication skills, ability to build relationships across teams and locations, and proven capability to explain complex systems clearly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI and automation tools to streamline operational workflows and simplify work for sellers

  • Exposure to forecasting processes and sales planning methodologies

  • Experience with B2B SaaS or media industry commercial operations (advertising sales, events, subscriptions)

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and influence change across distributed or matrixed teams
