Werfen advertises a Salesforce Enablement Manager whose job is driving rollout and adoption of the Salesforce platform across North America commercial operations, and Fresenius Kabi runs a Manager, Global CRM Change & Enablement. Neither of those is a sales trainer. Roughly one in ten of the enablement postings that name Salesforce and no conversation-intelligence tool read the same way, describing CRM adoption and data hygiene where you would expect ramp time and coaching.

In most of these postings it sits in the preferred column and stays there. Four Hands asks for "CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)" and MillerKnoll asks for "Experience using Salesforce," a bar you clear by pulling a pipeline report without breaking a dashboard. The CRM-adoption postings are the exception: TransUnion wants a "Certified Trainer, Salesforce Administrator, Change Management Professional, or willing to obtain certification within 12 months of hire." When Salesforce appears in the job title instead of the tools list, the certification is a real gate.
Why do enablement roles listing Salesforce post lower salary ranges than ones listing Gong?
Composition explains most of the gap. Junior-tagged roles are several times more common here, and titles at the coordinator or specialist end appear close to twice as often. Cargo-partner's Regional Sales Enablement Coordinator spends its day "overseeing and administering our CRM system (Salesforce)," and IQVIA's Sales Enablement Specialist asks for "proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce." Those are the front door into the function, and they sit in the same result set as the director postings.
What is partner enablement, and why does it keep showing up in Salesforce enablement searches?
It is enablement aimed at resellers and channel partners rather than your own reps, and it turns up several times more often in enablement postings that name Salesforce than in ones that name Gong. The reason is mechanical. You cannot review a partner's calls because they are not your calls, so the CRM is the only place the work leaves a trace at all. Tekmetric's Partner Enablement Manager owns "the full partner lead tracking system, attribution reporting, and Salesforce coordination so every referral is logged, staged, and credited," which is a deal-registration job with a training component bolted on.
